Product Details

Black emery is a course compound and is primarily used for cutting and preparing materials to be buffed out for a mirror finish.
Weight: 1 Lb. | Size: 1 lb. (7” x 1 ⅞” x 1 ¼”) | Coarse | Made in the U.S.A.
Great for fast cutting, quickly removing scratches, and preparing metals prior to buffing. It can also be used on aluminum, brass, copper, iron, nickel, pewter, steel, stainless steel, and more. The Black Emery compound should be used in the first stages of polishing to smooth rough surfaces, which saves much time and effort in the whole process - while leaving a fair shine on metals.
Applied on buffing wheels. To apply, simply spin a buffing wheel on a motor or drill and gently press the compound to the wheel. The heat and friction of the spinning wheel will be enough to transfer a small amount of the compound onto the wheel for polishing.
All polishing compounds are manufactured and packaged in U.S. facilities and have been stored in a cool and dry location for no more than 1 month.

Best Review

Customers find this polishing compound to be a good value for the money. It works well on buffing cloth wheels and leaves a mirror finish. They appreciate its durability, saying it doesn't crumble or crack even in freezing temperatures. The compound is great for removing scratches from nickel silver, copper, brass, and chef's knives.AI-generated from the text of customer reviews
