Product Details

Hex Nuts are almost always used in conjunction with a mating bolt to fasten multiple parts together the two partners are kept together by a combination of their threads friction with slight elastic deformation which is a slight stretching of the bolt and compression of the parts to be held together.
Grade 8 is a Medium carbon steel that has been quenched and tempered to improve its strength making it one of the most commonly used grades in a high strength critical and applications.
Zinc is relatively economical and offers good corrosion resistance in environments not subject to excessive moisture. Yellow chromate offers a greater degree of protection against oxidation.
An internally threaded fastener that is almost always used with an externally threaded screw, rod, or bolt made of the same or similar material.
