SAFE FOR ORGANIC FARMING: Our non woven fabric is a water permeable and breathable fabric that promotes plant growth and is safe for organic farming. Using white landscape fabric can help prevent the soil from overheating in hotter climates. You can also use this fabric for drainage applications, such as building French Drains.
WEED BARRIER FOR HOT CLIMATES (REFLECTS SUNLIGHT): Use as ground cover or a weed barrier in hot and sunny areas. White landscape fabric reflects sunlight (black landscape fabric absorbs heat), which is advantageous in situations where you need to cool down the soil for optimal plant growth. Using a white landscape fabric may be more effective at preventing weed growth, as it reflects more light and can inhibit photosynthesis in weed seeds.
HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION: Made with Industrial Grade 8 oz Non-Woven Polypropylene, this Sandbaggy polypropylene filter fabric is the toughest in its class and is rated for 205 lbs of tensile strength. This is TWO TIMES thicker than standard fabrics. In fact, this fabric is so tough you can use it under gravel for road construction and stabilization or as paver underlayment.
50+ YEAR* FABRIC: The fabric is engineered to last 50+ yrs (*depends on site conditions) if buried properly with at least 3 inches of gravel or mulch. However, if the fabric is exposed to the Sun, the lifespan drops as low as 1 year. In addition, unlike standard woven fabrics that are rigid, Sandbaggy Non-Woven Filter Fabric is flexible and easily conforms to uneven surfaces
